9000 Teachers Projected for Layoff in 09-10

Fox News just announced a projected layoff of 9000 teachers next year.

The Los Angeles school district is the second largest in the United States. It is experiencing a 700 million dollar deficit projection, this leading to the extensive layoffs.

Will Los Angeles be the only district that must reduce its workforce?

What does the future hold for 9000 teachers in LA?
